Visiting PininFarina's
Studio and private collection was another hi-lite of my trip. There we saw the first Dino prototype that evolved into the Dino 206 and then the 246. And the red Boxer was the first prototype that was ever made and
displayed. And for all you Jaguar fans, the silver car was the original XJS prototype that was built in 1970. Jaguar didn't appear to have used it, but it looks like pontiac used it over 15 years later on their Firebird
convertible. The radical styled white car was an experimental design built on the 512S race car chassis and engine in 1970. It's a wild concept! |
